11am ~ 4pm, 13th (Sat) Sep 2025 @ Ancient Market Place Kingston KT1 1JS

Supported by RBK and the National Lottery Community Fund, KBCE proudly celebrates the rich diversity of East and Southeast Asian (ESEA) heritage in the heart of Kingston, as part of the Mayor of London’s Community Weekend.

The Autumn Moon Festival is celebrated across Asia under many names: the Moon Festival in China, Mid-Autumn Festival in Hong Kong, Tsukimi in Japan, Chuseok in Korea, and Têt Trung Thu in Vietnam. Each September, we gather at the

Ancient Market Place in Kingston to honour this cherished tradition and celebrate together. Let’s connect beyond boundaries!

Festival Highlights:

  • Music – Spotlight on young emerging ESEA musicians, performing as part of the ESEA World Music Festival. From professionals, enjoy a vibrant showcase of sound, with performers representing Japan, North Korea, and Hong Kong. Don’t miss Frank Chickens—the legendary J-POP group—returning by popular demand after their Kingston debut!

  • Dance – Thrilling K-pop cover stages by three K-pop academies, alongside traditional and contemporary Asian dance. Join in our Community Random Dance events, featuring special themes from KPOP Demon Hunters, APT, and the latest K-pop hits. Let’s show the power of HONMOON together!

  • Martial Arts – Exciting demonstrations of Taichi, Kung Fu, and Kendo.

  • Games – Experience traditional Korean games—the very ones that inspired the global phenomenon Squid Game.

  • Food – Taste delicious street food from Hong Kong and North & South Korea.
